The Baker Street Robbery

In 1971 a gang tunnelled into the vault of Lloyds Bank on Baker Street, London, from a rented shop two doors away. They stole an estimated £1.5 to £3 million from safety deposit boxes. Reporting was suppressed under a D-notice and the case later inspired the film The Bank Job.
