The Birmingham Pub Bombings
On 21 November 1974 bombs exploded in the Mulberry Bush and Tavern in the Town pubs in central Birmingham, killing 21 people — the deadliest terrorist attack in England until 7/7. The six men convicted in 1975, the Birmingham Six, were freed in 1991 after their convictions were found unsafe. The bombers have never been brought to justice.
